OutlookXP puts PC into Standby or Hibernate

New computer with hyperthreading. When installed Office XP Outlook, which is
all I use. Click on something and goes into standby or hibernate. This
happens some times quite a bit and at other times not so often? Anyway
driveing me crazy.
