Output filter result to new worksheet ?

I have worksheet that contains 6 columns i.e name ,
department gender etc. Under each department I have the
total number of personel .
I need to produce an alphabetical list in another
worksheet that shows only name and department.
What function can I use to output the information from the
master worksheet to the Alpabetical worksheet?. I have
conditionally formatted the totals on the master worksheet
so theyre displayed when a print out is selected but not
the Dept title.
Hope I´ve made myself clear and thanks for any tips!
