I have two or three ovals that intersect. How do I make the intersecting
ovals have dash or broken lines to show their outline where as the other part
of the oval is still a solid line?

Definitely not in Publisher. You would have to draw the outline of that item
and use separate lines for the intersections. You might be able to do
something in Visio and then copy and paste it over into Publisher but I'm
not 100% certain that would work.

It will work in a draw program...
Ute Simon (PowerPoint MVP) from Germany sent me a set of circles that has been
on my web page forever. Maybe the poster can ungroup and fix the lines. It is a
zip file with the circles in different formats.

It is tricky, but you can create your three ovals and place small boxes of
white fill and play with the Arrange function; Bring to front, etc.
