To me this is a basic requirement to work with my collegues. Overlay mode is featured in Outlook 2007. It was absent in Entourage 2004. How about in Entourage 2008?

about in Entourage 2008?

Please keep in mind that Entourage is *not* Outlook for Mac. Just
because Outlook for Windows has a feature that's not to say you should
automatically expect Entourage to have it.

Be sure to let Microsoft know you'd like to see this feature in future
versions by using the Help --> Send Feedback mechanism in any Office
application. The more demand they receive for a particular feature, the
better its chances of being included.

Hope this helps!

So, the answer is 'no'.

Is there at least a way to view calendars next to each other, in a side-by-side view?

I asked this at the Microsoft booth this week. The answer is NO.

Of 4 major flaws I see in Entourage 2004, I could verify that only 1
was fixed in 2008 (Thesaurus access), 2 were not (combined calendar,
HTML forwarding and editing support), and the 4th I don't know
(recognize foreign language tag variations for Re: and Fw:, like AW:).

Yeah, 2008 is prettier, but it doesn't appear to fix the problems I
care about.

Although Entourage 2008 doesn't support the overlay and side-by-side
calendar views, there is a workaround that may work for you.

You can open more than one calendar folders in separate windows (cntr-click
and Open...) and then you can align the calendar windows next to each other,
getting something similar to the side-be-side view.

Maybe Entourage is NOT Outlook for Mac, but MS's Entourage customers would
probably be a lot happier if MS started thinking about it in those terms!
