Overlaying a photo over a movie clip

I have PowerPoint '97 and am trying to determine if I can have a photo appear
on top of a running movie clip in the same slide. It seems that if I insert a
movie file, it will run on top of any other object I insert. Is there a way
to change that?

Can't do it. The movie will appear on top

Jim,

no, the video clip always defaults to the top, in all versions of PowerPoint
that allow video to be inserted .
