the signature option for outlook web acccess does not
work. Is there something on the main server that needs
to be changed for this to work.

Is it possible that you have a popup stopper installed/enabled in Internet
Explorer? FWIW, SP2 for Windows XP raises issues for many of the features
that need to display a dialog window. If you have recently applied SP2 for
XP, you might try adding the OWA site to your trusted sites list and/or
making sure that a 3rd party popup stopper isn't blocking access.
