Page numbering formats with sections

Hi,

I have 2 sections, with Page X of Y in the footers of both set up as
follows:

Page {Page} of {SectionPages}

At the start of the second section I restart the numbering from 1, so
the page numbers read as follows

Page 1 of 2
Page 2 of 2
--------
Page I of 3
Page II of 3
Page III of 3

As you can see i want the second section to use roman numerals. If
however, i change the formatting of the Y in the second section, it also
changes it in the first, so i get:



Page 1 of II
Page 2 of II
--------
Page I of III
Page II of III
Page III of III

Is there a way around this?

It is possible to format the page number by section independently of the
footer, so I suspect you have the section 2 footer set to Same as Previous
and that the formatting applied to the SectionPages applies throughout.
Disconnect the two footers and you should be able to format them
independently.
