Hi,
I run Windows Pro XP with SP2 and Office 2003 Pro with SP1 applied.
A question was asked about how to page number a document so I opened Word to go
through the steps.
I selected View, then Header and Footer. The Header and Footer window opened
and I then switched to footer (4th button in from the RHS). I then I clicked
on the button with # on it (page number). Next I insert " of " and then
clicked on the button with 2 +'s on it (number of pages). I then closed the
Header and Footer window.
That should have put 1 of 10 etc into the footer of my 10 page document.
What I got was {PAGE} of {NUMPAGES} in the footer on all pages.
Next I tried the autotext to add Page x of y and ended up with a similar result.
I also tried adding date and time info with a similar result.
Can anyone shed some light on why this is happening and how to fix it?
Cheers . . . JC
