Palm Sync w/ Entourage X -fixed yet?

From reading past posts, I think most people have pretty much ditched
Entourage's Palm Sync capability (unless they have gone through all the
craziness to DateBook and Address Book to work properly).

Not wanting to rebuild my Palm again (like I did twice after Entourage
X mauled it in the past - went back to Palm desktop, which is pretty
lame, but doesn't destroy the data...) has anyone tried the new sync
update? Specifically, has it fixed the problems with:

Repeating events (w/ no end date)?
Address (work vs. home default working strangely)?
Sync failures and database corruption?

TIA (twice burned, once shy...)

I have tried the update to no avail.
I have also tried all the proposed fixes to no avail.

Thankfully I had sync'd to palm desktop or I would have lost all my
contacts!

This is a problem that needs addressing from Microsoft
