I'm wondering which calendar and addressbook gets synced with my Palm?
I'm an Exchange user and updated to SP2 and i have a local addressbook
and an exchange addressbook-same applies to calendars. So which one
gets synced with my Palm. The Entourage conduit settings don't hint at
what is getting synced.
Right, it's completely undocumented.
The (Palm) Entourage conduit syncs the address book/calendar associated with
your default email account. If your default account is a POP or IMAP
account, it will sync your local address book/calendar ("On My Computer").
If your default account is your Exchange account, it will sync to your
Exchange address book/calendar. So, before running the script, go to
Tools/Accounts/Mail in Entourage, and "Make Default" the appropriate
account. After you sync, you can switch the default back if desired.
(I'll be releasing a free script to copy items from one address book and/or
calendar to the other, for those who want to merge items. You can also do
this manually by dragging items from one to the other, but in the case of
calendar events originally made in Outlook on a PC on Exchange, there's a
bug in Entourage that might set the wrong time zone for these events when
exported.)
