Palm syncing w/outlook 2002

I have a PalmVx and I normally have it sync Handheld to PC. But I put a large quanity of new contacts I thought I should have the PC overwrite the Handheld. Now my Outlook 2002 has lost all contacts from H-T. What did I do?
