Palm to Entourage sync

Hi,

I have just brought a Palm Zire 72 and have installed "Missing Sync" soft
ware. Entourage will transfer the address files across to the palm but is
inconsistent sending them back.

If anyone has had this problem and knows the fix could you please let me
know.

Have you tried installing the Conduit provided by Microsoft?

I also had the conduit settings not appearing when I double-clicked.

In the end, I did two things to resolve it:

* Two versions of the Entourage Database Daemon were listed in my
Login Items (the v.X and 2004). I deleted them both from Login Items
and re-added just the version from the Office 2004 install (found in
the Office sub-folder). (Sloppy install from the CD, Microsoft).

* I deleted the old Office v.X installation (not the MUD identities in
Documents, just the applications). However, I should mention that it
was at this point I discovered the old Database Daemon was still
running as it prevented deletion of the folder. So I imagine if I had
just done the daemon thing I mentioned above, this would probably have
resolved the conduit problems without deleting the old Office apps.

If anyone tries these solutions and finds it is necessary to delete
the old apps as well, can you post an update here so everyone else
knows.

(Note I also uninstalled the conduit and its settings file (found in
your Palm identities folder), but again this may be unnecessary if you
are suffering from the dual-daemon problem).
