I'm using Entourage on Office X on a G4 400 running 10.3.7. I have 2
accounts set up, one for my wife and one for myself. I have no
problems whatsoever sending and receiving mail. However, my wife's
account has frequent problems. She gets password error messages often
and I've watched as it seems to take forever for a message to send. It
is remedied by quiting and restarting Entourage. Usually this requires
a force quit as Entourage hangs. I thought that perhaps updating
Entourage would take care of the problems. When I tried to install the
updates, I got an error message (which I can't remember) on two of them
and one of those 'already installed' on the other. The already
installed message was incorrect as I know for a fact that I hadn't
installed that update. These are the updates I was trying to install:
Microsoft Entourage 2004 Junk E-mail Filter Update 1 (11.1.0) - this
one gave me that error message
Microsoft AutoUpdate for Office 2004 for Mac - this one said that I
didn't have Auto Update installed
Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac Service Pack 1 (11.1.0) - this one said
that it had already been installed.
Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
