Password Protected Entourage

Does anyone know a way to password protect the Entourage application besides
creating a encrypted .dmg?

Perhaps create a new user account (with password) in your Mac and use
Ent only there?
Takes a few minutes to set up, but once done, you'll be able to swap
account in a flash...

The thing is, a person wouldn't even need to run Entourage to see your
mail. Run Terminal, cd to ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004
Identities/Main Identity/, issue the command "strings Database", and
you can read every mail, contact, etc. in the entire database.

So there really is no benefit to password protecting just the
Entourage application, since the data is stored in an insecure manner
on disk.

If you really do not want someone to read your email, your best bet is
to password protect your entire Mac OS X user account, and verify that
other users do not have read access to the Office identities folders
and subfolders.

The problem with creating another user is that anyone with admin privileges
can see and or alter the privileges for any program or folder. The best or
at least the easiest way in my opinion is to use a program called Secret
Folder ( http://www.apimac.com/sf/ ) Secret Folder lets you conceal a folder
and its contents. It provides you with a way to protect documents and avoid
them being seen, modified, or erased by other users (either on a network or
uninvited!). The program is easy to use and can be protected with a password
for extra security. I am sure there are other ways but this for me is the
quickest way, with out going to the Terminal and doing a little Unix "magic"
there. I hope this helps some one.
