Password-protecting a page

I have been using frontpage for quite a while, but I have
to say that this simple task is proving to be quite a bear!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the easiest thing to do is to
setup a subweb with permissions. If there is something
easier, please let me know!

Secondly - I can't create a subweb! I get this stupid
message: "Server error: unable to create a disk-based web
at c://documents and settings/blah/blah/blah because its
parent web would not be a disk-based web. Create the
disk-based web elsewhere, outside of your web-server's
document hierarchy." Hello! I'm not TRYING to create a
disk-based web! I don't have any option BUT to create it!
I want a web-based subweb on an existing external webpage
server. How on EARTH is THAT supposed to happen!? I've
done all the microsoft recommended options, and none work.
This includes Tools-->Server-->etc. but this option
doesn't work because SERVER is NOT an OPTION! It's grayed out!

Thanks - and CONFUSED and feeling REALLY dumb

Yes, this is the easiest.

In some cases, you may need to write your own security
code in ASP or ASP.NET. This is typically for system
involving self-registration, or tight-integration with
systems such as e-commerce. But the need to write code
makes this method the more difficult of the two.

Open the parent web, create a folder with the name of the
subweb you want, then right-click the folder and choose
Convert To Web.

FrontPage will create the subweb on the external Web site
when you publish your local copy of the subweb.

Or, you can open the external site directly, and create
the subweb as described above.
