Password protection

I hope someone here can help me. I haven't cracked open my Entourage
yet but wanted to know if all e-mail is password protected. I don't
want anyone to be able to view/send/receive any e-mail without a
password.

I have outlook express now and once you get into my identity anyone
can view e-mail that has already been pulled from the server. They
have to enter a password to send or receive any more mail, but what's
already there can be read. Is Entourage different??? I'm hoping so.
Can anyone help before I open this software?

Many thanks!

If your computer is not secure, you should log out of it when you are not
using it. Create separate user accounts for people who need to use your
computer but who should not have access to your data.

There was an AppleScript that simulated password protection for Outlook
Express in response to complaints like yours. I don't know if a similar one
exists for Entourage, but it really makes more sense to make use of the
multiple users features built straight into the Mac OS.

Another option that other people have reported works well for them is to
create a disk image with password protection and place your Microsoft User
Data on that image. You can then put an alias to this folder in your
~/Documents folder.
