Paste Position

No matter I did copy & paste or cut & paste, it was possible to paste whole
word in between letters of the other word and not in between words.
However, I could do that in Word. Is there any way to do in Entourage?

You have to turn off the "When selecting, automatically select entire word"
and perhaps also the "Use smart cut and paste" settings in Entourage's
general preferences.
