Hello,

I run my own business, and get many questions emailed to me that require the same answer. Right now I have stock answers in a word document that I paste into my emails. It would save me some time if Entourage had some kind of library where I could store that material, and then paste it quickly using hotkeys or buttons in the toolbar. Is there any way to do that in Entourage?

Thanks,

Rob

You asked someone that uses this function a lot. There are several ways.

In Entourage: <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/faq_topic/templates.html>

I use other methods myself. Some I insert with a shorthand. You can use
several applications to do this. I wrote a tutorial on these to give you an
idea of what's available so you can decide which one works best for you.

Insert text automatically into a message (Part One)

(BTW, I used an AppleScript to make that tiny url. Another timesaver.)

I've never got around to Part two, but it will be about a script that I can
call up a list of folders to select the text item I want. I can remember
only so many shortcut entries. This option gives me a visual of the files. I
have hundreds. It's tied into Spotlight too. It's all tied to text files
that you can manage in the Finder.

Hope this helps!

Fantastic! I ended up getting Butler. So cool.

Glad I could help. Butler is one I never got around to. I started with
LaunchBar and loved it too much to look at another.

another option, that i use is to set up a custom signature. since i get a lot of internal requests and subsequently ship packages based on these requests, i just start a new message, insert my signature that is appropriate, and fill in new data if applicable.

this systems works well since you can have 1 signature per answer, select it with a single click and send it off. or if needed add relevant specific content as i described above. i personally use both methods based on the email.
