Pasting excel charts into word

J

James

We are having trouble pasting Excel charts in word under
XP. Under MS Office 2000, we would copy a chart and then
use paste.special to paste it as a picture. Under Office
XP we get fewer paste.special options and only have a
choice of picture (metafile enhanced) or Excel object.

The problem with the enhanced metafile picture is that it
can't be moved around and positioned like a picture in
Word, which makes document creation a nightmare.

If anyone can suggest what setup we have wrong in XP I
would be very grateful.

Regards,
James

Hi James,

You should be able to
- right-click
- Format picture
- then apply any texwrap formatting you like

Are these commands not available?

Worst case scenario, copy the graph you pasted into Word,
then Paste Special again. But I think that Word limits you
to enhanced Metafile originally in order to make sure you
get optimal reproduction in the Word document.
