Pausing a PPT on button click

Is it possible to pause a powerpoint presentation on mouse click. If yes can
anybody let me know how?

If you open your presentation in slide show mode and press F1, you'll see a
couple of keys that you can press that will pause your presentation. B will
give you a black screen and stay in that state until you press any key or click
the mouse. W will give you a white screen and stay in that state until you
press any key or click the mouse.

Additionally to what Sonia said:
- 1 will stop animations and slide transitions
- Q will continue them (both work in all versions of PPT)
- S stops/continues (one key to toggle, but only in PPT 2002 and 2003)
