PDF displays are rough

Is there an issue with Entourage and CMYK PDF's?

I have PDF's displaying within the client app but very poorly. The image has drop out lines passing horizontally. Like an interlaced NTSC frame capture has. Similar to what a CMYK used to look like when dropped onto earlier browsers.

Anyway, anyone heard of any issues for CMYK PDF's displaying poorly?

I have the full upgrades and updates in place on 10.4.11 PPC Dual 2 GHz tower and Office 2008.

And yes, they look great in Acrobat and Preview.

All I can say is that I have noticed the same thing on my end. I do not have a solution for you though, sorry.

Same situation here. I've noticed that the preview of the PDF is bad
if it's been created using a particular PDF engine. So, a PDF created
by Quartz on Mac OS X will preview correctly whereas a PDF created
using a version of the Adobe engine will display in the corrupt way
that you (and others) see.

By all means use your "feedback" button in Entourage. Though, I heard
this one *did* get written as a bug during the beta test of O2008...

Well, that helps to know so thank you. I can wok around it I guess.

I'm going to do a quick test on the Quatz vs Adobe vs Qx JAW's and will let you know what I get.

Did some testing: Quartz PDF works, Adobe and QX JAWS appear striped. Related to the PDF spec version? Don't know, yet.

Hi there,

Would it be possible to send the two striped PDF files directly to
huchinATmicrosoftDOTcom so that we can investigate further? Thanks!
