PDF files Not Viewable by PCs - HELP

J

Jennie

I have sent a few test emails to several PC users and they have
informed me that they receive the email with a red x in the body of the
text and no image. I sent a test email to my own hotmail account and
through the web, saw the same thing. I am inserting pdf files in the
email body. What am I doing wrong? I used to use a PC with Outlook
and never had problems sending html emails for my business. Since
moving to Entourage on the Mac I feel that my email marketing is
crippled!

The pdfs have been created in InDesign and then saved as pdf files.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Jennie

Hi There,

just a quick thought really on this one.

I have experienced similar problems with my Mac users when they are trying
to send Peedeeeffs to PC clients.

It seems if theytry to attach the file from too 'Deep' a location within the
folder structure of our servers then the attachments can corrupt. If they
copy thefile to the desktop temporarily and then atrtach it it works fine.

HOWEVER I am not sure whether you mean you want the content of the PDF to
appear in the body ofthe email message instead.

Is it for a marketing mailshot or similar, if so you may be better off
trying HTML,
just an idea,

Cheeriuo and good luck
