personal address book question

tried to establish a pab and populate it by cutting and pasting from
the contacts list. outlook returns any emails i try to send using
these entries. i can select the same entries from the contacts list
and the app works fine. anyone able to tell me what i did wrong? i am
trying to shorten the list i have to scroll thru when trying to find
certain addesses, if i create a dl will i be able to send to some and
not all of the entries in the distribution list? this is my first try
with outlook, i have previously used eudora.

I'm not sure why youre having difficulty in selecting an email contact add,
usually you just enter a few letters of the add, in the box provided, and
the add will be hilighted in the contact listing.
You can in any case add categories to your contacts, which means you can
look in the specific category list
I dont know where the wab comes into all this since OL doesnt use the wab

thanks DL, i was trying to create a personal address book, the
category idea didn't occur to me, i might try it, for the interim i
created 12 distribution lists for each of the 12 email addresses that
are heavily used to keep from scrolling the entire contact list. again
thanks for the input.
