Phantom text on Envelope

K

Kim Odell

When I try to do an envelope in Word 2002, it prints out
with some leftover text from a label I sent months and
months ago! It appears on the left side of the envelope,
a little over an inch below the return address.

This doesn't show up in the Address portion of the
envelope, so it isn't visible until the envelope prints
out.

I have to hand-write all envelopes, and it doesn't look
very professional. HELP!!!

Thanks, Kim

Thank you, Suzanne. I went into Insert/AutoText, and I
don't have any AutoText entries. I printed
out "Modifying the appearance of your envelopes" which
was very helpful if I wanted to add something to the
envelope template, but I couldn't find any mention of how
to remove something that's there somewhere but that I
can't find!

What am I missing here?

No, Suzanne, just on envelopes. The printer works just
fine on everything else.

Also, where should I find the template for my standard
envelope (the one that I access from the Word toolbar)?
When I do a search on hidden files, all the envelope
templates seem to be in ProgramFiles/MSPublisher/Office,
etc. Publisher?

Word doesn't use a template for envelopes--well, if it does, it's stored
internally.
