photo editor launches minimized

Every once in a while an application will launch already minimzed to the
taskbar. The only way to see the app is to right-click on it and choose
Maximize. This time around the application is question is Photo Editor, but
I think it's happened with others (on different machines). It also seems to
me that the information in

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;260151

has helped me in the past, but this time it's not doing anything. I also
found

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;178117

in the KB, which, likewise, is of no help here. If anyone knows of a fix
for this, I'd love to hear about it.

TIA...

Hi Linda,

If you don't see the app on screen when using
a setting other than maximize then it may be off screen.
Right click on the Windows Taskbar and use the cascade
option (probably not when you have a lot of apps open)
to see if it puts it back in view.

It sounds like the window is opening off the Desktop when it is
Restored.

Here are a few things to try to get it back:

- Open another window, right-click an empty area of the Taskbar and
select "Cascade"

If that doesn't work then:

- Right-click the Photo Editor task and click "Restore" if necessary
- Right-click again and select "Move"
- Use one of the arrow keys on the keyboard to "lock in" the move
command
- Use your mouse and see if you can move it back to the Desktop

Yep, it sure does put it back in view, but when I close the program out and
re-open it, it opens again minimized (or offscreen or whatever). I know
that Windows is supposed to remember window position and size so that any
window will reopen to the size you had it when you last closed it... that
doesn't seem to be happening here.
