Photo Slideshow to DVD

I'm building a slideshow for a high school graduation party. It
contains only photos and music. It will be about 30 minutes long when
complete. Is it possible to burn the slideshow to DVD so that the pc
will not have to work so hard. I have my photos syncronized to the
music and the timing isn't always on time because of the PC being
overworked. If it can't be burned to DVD,where is the weak link in my
pc that is causing the lag time? I have a Pentium IV 2.8 Ghz
processor. Memory is 768M. I have a 120G harddrive with serial ATA. My
video card is 32M(suspect).This is the first project of this kind and
I can see it will be a problem.
Thanks

If you are running Windows XP and your plan is to move your photos and music
to DVD, I highly recommend Movie Maker 2, which is a free download from
Microsoft. MM2 is extremely easy to learn and use, is specifically designed
to create a video file as its output, works with a timeline so that music
and photos are synchronized, has a wide selection of transitions, etc., etc.
The output file can be burned to a DVD, a VCD, or a regular CD-R. For the
latter you will need to run it on a computer with a current version of
Windows Media Player.

You'll find more information at
