Can anyone help me figure out how to get old film slides into
PowerPoint on my computer? If you can't answer then direct me to the
appropriate resource. Thanks!

Your question is a little vague, but let me try.

If you mean old 'film-style' slides (35 mm film strip showing one picture in
a cardboard/plastic frame) that you want to make into PowerPoint slides,
than there are two levels to "getting them in".

If all you want is an image of the slide, than you can scan them in using a
scanner that accepts slides (many consumer models of scanners have slide
attachments for capturing slide images). There are also special slide
scanners that are available, but rather expensive to purchase. You can also
get the names of local businesses that do this from most any camera shop.

If you want to be able to change the text on the slides, then you will need
to re-build the slide manually or hire someone to do this for you.
