Picture Object replaced as Rectangle Object

I am running Pub 2003.
All too frequently when opening a pub file that has been saved from
anywhere between 1 minute ago & weeks, a picture has disappeared.
When moving mouse over the area, it says it's a rectangle, not a pic.
Looking in Tools/Graphics Manager, shows the entry for that pic has
vanished.
Anybody else had this problem?

See if turning the acceleration down on your adapter will cause the images to appear.
Control panel, display folder, settings tab, advanced button, troubleshoot tab.
If this solves the issue, you need to upgrade your video driver. Go to the
manufacturer's web site of your graphics card and look around.

Thanks this solved my display problem with pictures and word art!!! Thank
you. Now I will try to update the video driver.
