Picture visible in normal view but invisible in slideshow

Hi,

I have this strange phenomenon. A PP2K file edited in PP03 seems to lose
some pictures in slideshow view. Some of the pictures are visible in the
normal view. They can be edited, sent to front, etc.
But when switching to the slide show they just not there. I don't have PP2K
anymore to test, but they were there!
They differ in having a hatched border after being clicked. In the
properties there's also a tab "textbox" Is this a clue?
What happened to them?

First troubleshooting step is to go to Help/Check for Updates and install
SP-1 for Office 2003. This is a critical patch for PPT; it resolves most of
these oddball "missing pix" issues.

If that doesn't fix it, holler back and let us know that the update didn't
do the trick.

Hi Echo,

I had already SP1 installed.
As I mentioned, the difference between other pics in the same ppt, who are
visible in slideshowview, is that they seem to be textboxes or something.
When I use rightmousemenu option "save as picture" and insert the saved
picture, than it shows up in slideshowview. But it looks not as bright as the
original.
I think it's not right to show something in normal view, but not in
slideshowview.
But I searched some more. All of these pics had an animation (zoom in, on
click)
When I removed the animation. They are visible again in slideshowview!!!
Any other animation made them invisible again...
I can't find any strange animation settings who cause this behaviour.

Thanks,

Frans

Any idea?

Nice detective work, Frans.

I don't think the fact that they're textboxes makes a difference here. For
some things it might, but I doubt so for this.

Now, I'm assuming that you did click the mouse in slide show view so your
textbox/pictures *should* have shown up but didn't. In that case, I think
that you should try turning hardware acceleration down. Here are instrux:

Thank you my dear Holmes, I even went further...

Of course!
But I noticed that the action(click) isn't there. When I scroll back in the
click order, the previous animation starts and the one that followes after
the E.T.-picture.
It seems PP just forgets about this animated object.

I already tried with or without hardware acceleration. Through PC/Graphics
settings as well as in the show settings.

Well, I will not bother you anymore, I changed the 15 pix to stay permanent.
It fits in the purpose of the pres as well as animated.

Thanks and maybe see you in San Diego again!

Very strange, though.

Looking forward to it! If you make it, bring this presentation, and maybe we
can figure out what's going on with it.
