Pictures and Imagery Content in Email

Using Entourage 2004, does anyone know how to make it automatically
display all pictures in emails? It apparently has a default which under the
guise of privacy protection, requires me to manually select a link to
download pictures in html email and even then, it often does not down load
all the pictures properly. Does someone know how to over ride this
³feature²?

The only way that I know of is to add the sender to your address book.

Do or Do Not. There is No Try.

It is interesing to read that online help says:
3. Under Message, select or clear the Show attached pictures and movies in
messages check box.
But that does not work. I really don't like big brother to tell me what I can or
can't see. I think that Microsoft needs to create a patch that eliminates the
picture thing or makes the preferences setting really work. I did not see
anything about adding the sender to the address book. So I will do that and
see what happens.

I did see the option to automatically show pictures for email from
people in your address book but that appears to be more for attachments vice
embedded imagery or pictures that you see in html messages. I haven't tried
this yet but don't particularly relish the thought of adding sources of
subscription emails to my address book just to get around this. It's a nice
feature but I'd like to be able to turn it off. Any other thoughts on this
matter would be appreciated. Thanks

I absolutely agree that you should be able to turn off this feature. I
have a good junk mail filter, so I don't worry about receiving
offensive pictures. Meanwhile, it's a real pain to have to click the
link for every html e-mail I receive. And you're right--who's going to
add to your address book every commercial source from which you want
to get e-mail? Please, Microsoft--fix this!
