Pictures do not appear in eMails

Irrespective of the settings in preferences, pictures do not appear in emails. I've even shut down the program when turning the pictures setting on and off. I would prefer pictures to appear when the message opens. How can I get Entourage to display the pictures automatically in emails if the preferences do not work?

Check the settings under Preferences>Security.

Optionally, Entourage will display pictures for anyone whose address is
in your Address Book. You can add addresses there to cause the pics to
show up automatically.

If you choose to display pics for all messages, you risk being attacked
by a spam or phishing message that provides surreptitious feedback to
the sender when you open the message. I strongly advise against doing so.
