Pictures in Slides

When I insert a picture from file into one of my slides, I
cannot eliminate the background color. For example, our
logo is a green tree. When I insert it into a slide (w/a
color background), the tree is on a white background and I
cannot get rid of the white boxed around the tree. Any
suggestions?

You need to create a channel in an image editing program. PPT will support
channels from TIF and PNG files, so use those formats. See
