The Pie in the Sky function for me would be this - perhaps it already
exists? -

I send out dozens of emails every day. Sometimes I forget who I sent to and
only weeks later recall, "I never heard back from so-and-so.."

Would it be possible to write a script that would on every message I receive
check to see if there is a message to that person in my sent items folder.
If there is such a message in the sent items folder, to move it to a
different folder (eg, "sent and replied") so that I would know that any
message in my sent folder has not yet received a reply.

I am using Entourage 2001, but this is such an important function, that if
you told me it would be possible only in 2004, I'll upgrade pronto.

Again, this would be possible, although a little convoluted.

Does 2001 not have links between messages to show which is a reply to which?
In vX & 2004 they showed as a different icon in the folder listing, and also
in a yellow status bar at the top of the message window. This woud quickly
identify which messages had been replied to.
