Pivot Table Error Message - "too many records" Excel 2007

I am creating a pivot table using approx 3,000 line data worksheet and when
generating a formula an error message comes up - "There are too many records
to complete the operation". WHen I have read about 2007 there should be no
reason for this message!

Using Excel 2007
