Pivot table layout

Can someone please help with the following. I am using a pivot table
to summarise sales from several thousand records. My data is organised
as follows:
Name Quantity Sales
Customer 1 3 100
Customer 5 10 550
Customer 4 12 180
Customer 1 6 150
Customer 4 8 450 etc
My pivot table comes back as:
Customer 1 Quantity 1500
Sales 4000
Customer 4 Quantity 7500
Sales 2500 etc
Which is fine except that I would like it displayed as:
Customer 1 Quantity 1500 Sales 4000
Customer 4 Quantity 7500 Sales 2500 etc
Or even better:
Quantity Sales
Customer 1 1500 4000
Customer 4 7500 2500 etc

Seems a pretty basic requirement, any ideas please? Is a pivot table
the best solution?

To achieve the second layout, drag the Data button onto the cell that
contains the word 'Total'. There's a picture here:
