i have two spreadsheets with the exact same headers and am
trying to merge them into a common pivot table via
the "multiple consolidation worksheets" function in the
Pivot Table wizard. i select the worksheets and define
the ranges but when i get to the 'Layout' button, the
spreadsheet starts reading the data and then seems to
stall. however, from the task manager, i see Excel.exe is
consuming 50% of the processor.
the only odd thing i can see is that combined the
spreadsheets contain more rows than in a single excel
sheet, is that a (or THE) problem?
thanks!
