Echo S said:Since you want more than one sound, you need to use the techniques not
listed under the "One Sound Only" section.

Head to http://www.pptfaq.com and put Sound Across Slides in the
searchbox there. You should be able to access FAQ 047 then.

At the end of the section with the header that says "One Sound Only" (which
is, I believe, the technique you used), there is a line that says this:
If you need sounds to start and stop on other slides, choose the
instructions for your version of PowerPoint:
So, please choose the instructions depending on the version of PPT you're
using. Please use the techniques in one of the following sections:
If you use PowerPoint 2000 (and PowerPoint 97 works much the same)
or
And if you use PowerPoint 20002/XP or PowerPoint 2003
which immediately follow the section titled "One Sound Only."

Sorry, but I'm lost. I don't remember seeing anything about
Technique, or if you need sounds to start or stop. I've not done it
right or missing something completely.
I'm using MS PP 2000 with SP-3

The link that Echo provided http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00047.htm tells
you exactly how to insert your sounds and what sound types work with what
version of PowerPoint.
