Pleading paper line spacing changes when I copy from other docume.

I have a lot of multipage documents (with ASK and REF fields and tables) that
I need to have on pleading paper. When I copy it onto a pleading paper
template (that has 28 lines doublespaced), the formatting of the pleading
paper changes so that the 28 lines become singlespaced. How do I correct
this?s correct this? I am using Word 2003.
