Please change the whole drawing canvas set up that is in versions.

Prior to the 2000 version of office the whole drawing lines and shapes was
much more user frinedly!I am not much more then a novice user however there
was obviously a few changes that were made with 2000 and even moreso with XP
that are unnecessarily dificult and i am hearing from coworkers the pro's of
other programs vs. office and even though i disagree i can see the
frustration within a few areas.
The drawing canvas is stupid. Regardless if more training would better
enable me to manipulate it, would more information on it be made available
within the program?

I agree. There must be reason behind it, but I haven't found it yet. However
the remedy is simple: switch it off. (Tools > Options)
