Please enter your keychain password

All,

I recently installed ADmitMac to access my domain at work. Since
duplicating my home directory, I have been receiving this dialog box when I
first start Entourage:

Please enter your keychain password.

Microsoft Entourage wants to use keychain 'login'

Originally I installed Office logged in as the local account. I am not sure
where to go to change this password or remove this window.

Thanks!

Mark,

I received this mesage when I upgraded to 10.4.3 from 10.4.2 - it was a
'one-off 'so I ignored it and it never appeared again. (BTW, I don't use
Entourage normally but my husband does and I'm here to sort out a few
problems relating to his Entourage account).

I noticed, though, on another discussion group that a lot of people who use
Airport were getting this message. (It was Airport that caused the message
in my case, too). Here's what one poster wrote...
"I finally fixed this by determining what application was requesting me to
enter the password for the System keychain by clicking on the little black
triangle on the lower left of the dialog box that was prompting for the
password. It was the Airport. I went to System Preferences and selected
Network, then went to edit the Airport properties when I was automatically
prompted with adialog box telling me that the airport software had recently
been upgraded and asking if I wanted to allow the updated software to access
the System keychain. After I accepted this everything worked fine."

Hope this may be of some help to you....

Cheers
Tricia

Since your're on Active Directory, your Mac login has to agree with the
main password of your Keychain. When the two are different from each
other, Entourage is asksfor your Keychain password because it handles
access to the your mail account. You can do either of two things -

1. Go to Keychain Access >File Menu Delete Keychain Login, Select
Delete Files and References, then logout/log back into your Mac.

2. Find KeyChain First Aid and verify/repair your Login keychain. This
will re-synch it up with your Mac login credentials.

Either way will fix your issue.
