I have upgraded from 10.2.8 to Panther. Everything got corrupted and
now after many hours I have saved what I can.

My entourage opens up and receives. I can't send or view attachments,
because it says i have no access permissions to do this. please can
anyone help me out?

You can try running Repair Permissions, but it sounds like your upgrade has
some serious flaws. If the repair permissions does not work, I would create
a new user in System Preferences and open Entourage (you'll have to enter
your account info there to test) there and test for problems. If it does not
work in a clean new user then your system is the problem. You'll need to
start all over then with Panther. Let me know how this works.

To use Repair Permissions:


Open Disk Utility in your Applications/Utility folder.

Click on the First Aid tab and select Repair Permissions

Click on the icon for your boot volume.

Click the repair permissions button.


Don't run from CD as updates have a newer version of Repair Permissions.

Run Repair Permissions from the volume being repaired.
