Hi All-
If I need to restore my computer that way it came from how do I back up my
emails in Entourage, my music in itunes and my pictures in iphoto? Do I need
to go to ³home²folder or somewhere else?
Please help..I¹m switching from Windows to Apple and I¹m new in everything.
I already mess up my computer about 5 times and I don¹t want to do that
again!

Yes. In the Home folder you'll find most of the things you have to backup.
And even more the "Documents" folder. There you'll find (among other
important stuff) the "iTunes" folder, and the "Microsoft User Data" folder.
The "iPhoto" folder is in the "Pictures" folder.
There's an option when reinstalling Mac OS X to keep your user data and
settings. Try it (even though it's still better to have a backup anyway).

Your Entourage data is stored in the Microsoft User Data folder inside your
User's folder. Itunes and iPhoto also store their info in the User's folder.
Backing up the entire User's folder would be a good idea.
I also suggest you join a general Mac OS X talk list. There are two lists I
recommend:
Mac-L (discusses both OS 9 and OS X)
How to Join:
<http://lists.lyris.net/mac-l/> to join mac-l
Or send email to:
<[email protected]>
OSX list (OS X only):
If you would like to subscribe to this OS X MUG
Discussion list, e-mail <[email protected]> and place "Subscribe OSX" in
the subject.
Good luck on your problems.
