Please verify: cannot create a cross-project predecessor link via

I'm pretty sure I cannot create a cross-project link where the MPP that
contains the predecessor task resides at a URL address (e.g. on a WSS site).
That's what MS Project is telling me, but I just want to verify this with the
experts. Am I missing something obvious here? Note that I am not talking
about Insert/Hyperlink here, but a true predecessor task relationship.
