Until recently my Hotmail account was able to be popped into Microsoft
Entourage. Entourage is a mail client, the equivalent of MS Outlook, except
it's for the Macintosh platform.
I have not changed any settings, or added any software.
I receive the following error message from Entourage when checking for mail.
Error ---
Proxy error. The proxy cannot fulfill the request.
Explanation ---
Could not retrieve mail.
Account name: "Hotmail"
Error: -18498
This error occurs every time I try to retrieve mail.
The only change that I can think of is that my Internet Service Provider
recently switched to a system that utilizes 'transparent proxy' for web-page
requests.
Could someone please detail what the problem is and how it can be fixed.
