Having Trouble getting Entourage to keep a pop server
option of override the default pop port. Anyone else run
across this? I'm in the Tools, Accounts, Pop Mail,
Advanced Options area. 3 options are available:
1) Use SSL
2) Override Pop Port Default
3) Use Secure Server Authentication

Only options 1 & 3 hold the selection

Thanks,

No problem here. When I click option 1, then option 2 changes automatically
from 110 to 995, but either way (whether option 1 is clicked or not) I can
select option 2, check it, then change it to anything.

So it may be that your POP port settings are locked somehow. I don't know
whether that's possible to do in System Preferences/Network, or NetInfo, or
in the Terminal, or where. Is this your own home computer and the ISP a
regular company providing service for a fee, or is this a work computer ion
a network where an IT department determines settings? If the latter, you'd
better ask them.
