Pop up boxes for appointments

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Older version of Entourage would alert me to any appointment I had coming up. Is the new version able to do the same thing? I know there is a "My Day" calendar but that doesn't help because I don't want it on my screen while I work.

I just want a pop up box to come up when I have a meeting.

does anyone know how to set it up? I have already set up a reminder in Entourage but it only "Dings" me with a noise not a window with the designated event.

Under the Entourage menu select Turn Off Office Reminders. Then select
to turn it on again.
