Porting from Outlook to Entourage

P

Patrick Klien

I am new to Mac and loving it!

I am a recent convert from PC and outlook. I need some help getting my .pst
archive into entourage... I don't have access to my old PC-IT FRIED, PC
SUCKS!

Anyhow, does anybody know of a painless way of porting from Outlook over to
Entourage without going through another program or paying more money?

Thanks!

You can't do anything with the .pst, it's a proprietary format that no one
else can parse.

Also, not completely free (there's a lot of work involved in this!), but
close to it:

Get Paul Berkowitz's "Export-Import Entourage" script package ($20). It
allows you to export/synchronize/import several kinds of data between
Entourage identities and other PIMs.

You can learn more about it and find the download site on The Entourage Help
Page:

If you can log in with a PC, you could restore your pst and drag the folders
into your existing account. They would then be part of your current mailbox
on the Mac and available. Depending on the size, however, your system
administrator may not be thrilled, but you could then prune it down to a
reasonable size perhaps and extract any critical items.

I used a little application called "Outlook2mac" by a company called
Little Machines. This $10 application executed my .pst file and broke
out each individual folders, which then I could drag right into
Entourage. It was STUNNING!
