positioning drawing over table

I

ILiya

When I try to place (center) a rectangle (wrapping style in front of text)
with size a bit smaller that of the table cell over a table cell with text
the rectangle jumps to side and the text in the cell moves as well. The
drawing objects apparently interfere with table cells in some way.
Is there anyway to rectify this?
Thanks

Hi ILiya,

When you click the graphic you should see an anchor somewhere (left margin,
or left side of a table cell). If you don't see the anchor, check that the
option is activated in Tools/Options/View. Move the graphic outside the
table (the anchor should also move outside the table).

Go into the Format [object] dialog box, Layout Tab. Click "Advanced", choose
the Position tab. Activate the "Lock anchor" option.

Now you can drag the rectangle back over the table, but the anchor will stay
outside the table, deactivating the text wrap within the table cell.
