possible to hide message icon in task tray for certain mail?

Hello all,
I rely heavily on the message icon in the task tray to
notify me of new mail. I have recently joined a discussion
group where I receive emails very often (which makes the
message icon in the task tray popup incessantly). I do not
want this icon to popup for the emails from the discussion
group, however I still want it to popup for other emails.

Is this possible to configure, either through the rules
wizard or some other way?
