I think it is urgent that MS address the cross-team
leveling issues whose functional support seems to be non-
existant in the current version. We have situations where
Project managers share resources in weekly increments at
say 40% / 60% allocation across plans. All work-arounds
for this are less than ideal as any plan-specific calendar
or max unit info is overwritten by the pool every time the
plan is opened. We change schedules so a once-and-done
solution of leveling based on these settings in the
beginning only is also not ideal. If we are forcing all of
this to the pool there should be some way to do allocation
of resources across plans in smaller increments than just
by plan to accomodate multi-task efforts by a resource. So
far our talks with several support providers had been less
than ideal for resolving this issue.
